I am moving to California for family reasons in August, but I am temporarily in between in Michigan, just completed a residency. My CPJE is scheduled for beginning of August. I would like to find a job as soon as possible but most of the California positions state "current CA license" under their requirements. Do you think I should apply anyway or wait until I have passed the CPJE? I don't want to be unemployed until December but this seems like it may be the case...Thanks!

I would start now, and let people know about your situation through a cover letter. The worst that can happen is that you won't get an interview.
