Is it too late applying to DO med schools in January ? I'm applying only to DO. The reason it's because I want to take extra (science) classes for the fall semester so I can raise up my gpa.
What gpa and mcat should I have if I want to be competitive for jan?
Anyone applied in January and got accepted ?
Thank you

If you're somewhat competitive now I'd consider tossing in an app with planned courses listed. You can always update schools in January.

I'm in somewhat of a similar situation, but my reason is MCAT.

What's your GPA now? You probably want a 3.2+ for sGPA and a 3.4+ cGPA. MCAT score would depend on your GPA. If you have a 3.4 cGPA, I think a 26+ would work. EC's need to be average or better as well.

January is generally a death knell for all but the strongest of applications.either throw your name into the ring with planned coursework now or don't until next year, don't screw around and apply in January with a weak app.

If I update schools are they going to see my new sgpa or only the grades I received for fall ?
