Hi Everyone!

I'm a senior in college and I'm about to graduate in May. I'm happy to say that I'm on my way to applying for dental school for 2010! 😀 I'm planning to submit my AADSAS application as soon as it opens this June. However, right now I'm trying to plan out the best time I would be able to go travel abroad (my bf is overseas and ideally I want to try to spend a big part of my gap year together😍). Can anyone tell me what the application timeline is like after submitting applications... assuming I submit at the earliest possible date? I know there's interviews around october and september... but other than that, do I actually have to be in the country after that? I will also have internet access so I'm really hoping after the interviews I will be able to take care of everything abroad.. (I'll have someone to recieve my mail and help me if I need anything mailed). If anyone could give me any advice about when I'm free to safely travel and not mess up my application process... please post as it would really help a lot!! Thanks!

I aplied late so I don't know how early interviews start.. I am guessing August/Sept at the earliest? Youcan probably take 3 months off traveling between graduation and that time?
Have fun!

Hey thanks for your replies! But to clarify I'm actually going to be around for the interviews anyway.. (i still gotta take my last prereq class.. physics ugh.. but I'm doing it in the fall..) so I'll have to be in the US until december. So more specifically... AFTER interviews are over.. and post december... am I free to travel abroad granted I will be keeping tabs on my mail?

Oh.. and he's an Intl student in south africa.. I met him when I studied abroad there hehe. yeah.. sucks though of all places he has to be on the opposite end of the planet... but oh well its worth it 🙂

there is no guarantee all your interviews will be before december.. they range all the way through march... and even later for some schoools..
