In your opinion how late is late?
I am going to be taking one pre-req during the summer and then plan on taking July/August MCAT. My scores won't be available till late september.
So my question is....is it going to be late to apply in September/October, or will i be still ok?

You will be absolutely fine with that schedule.

Also, you can submit your AACOMAS as soon as allowed, then you can send in everything, including secondaries, early. Then just update and complete your file by releasing your MCAT scores.

yep👍 . Just get your gpa calculated and update with MCAT. AND if you have secondaries done before October then you will be EARRRRLLYY.

so sending my stuff (transcripts etc) to AACOMAS as soon as my grades for summer courses are in (early august) and then while i wait for my MCAT scores to be released AACOMAS will get my stuff verified and i will be good to go?
How long does that whole thing takes?
Thanks in advance.

Yup, send everything as soon as you can. Prepare your AACOMAS application so it's ready to go. I think it took 3-4 weeks for me to get verified and that was back in July. Start working on any available secondaries, because those take the most time (just make sure you don't send out the ones that are "invitation only" until you get an invitation; but that doesn't mean you can't prepare them).

AACOMAS from entering transcripts to GPA verification can take up to about a month or so, but if you have everything entered and are able to hit "submit" the day they give the ok, it may happen sooner. Hard to tell, as processing time will vary according to "how soon", and "how many."

I applied in October and received secondaries in November. I am complete in all finally, and received an interview invite from NSUCOM only 8 days after being complete.

october definitely isnt late.

Thanks!

My stats: 3.70 gpa, 3.60 science, 3.85 non-science (pretty strong ...however ...)

My MCAT: 24O --> 9BS, 8PS, 7VR. I totally suck in Verbal haha.

In addition, I have ALOT of EC and Medical/research-related experience.

Hope it helps, whats your stats look like?

well my MCAT is in the powder form (i will try to kill the monster though) and so is my GPA.

I think i should end up around 3.35-3.4 for both overall and science but it can always get lower LOL.

Quite impressive. Id say they could take you regardless of the low gpa .. as long as you boost up that mcat to around a 24+, you could get in somewhere, if not CCOM. Good luck!
