Hey guys,

im looking for some advice.

Im a canadian and applied very late (submitted oct 25). So far I got rejected from Uconn but got an interview at Upenn. Im still waiting for a response from 9 other US schools and 3 Canadian schools.

So here are my stats according to AADSAS

Sci GPA: 3.98
Non-sci: 4.16

Canadian Dat:
23 PAT, chem
20 everything else
21 AA

and Im not a massive hermit who studies 24/7 so I have decent extracurriculars.

anyways, so i have the option of applying overseas but I have to decide soon whether or not to apply. Considering the late application, and the fact that im not a US citizen, do you think I should spend more money and time applying to overseas as kind of a back up? or should i just start preping and focus on my Upenn interivew in a month?

any advice is appreciated!

With those stats why didn't you apply to canadian schools? You can apply overseas if you want but that will cause problems if you want to turn around and practice back here in the states or canada. I think you should just wait and see how things turn out with the other schools you haven't heard from and, if nothing pans out just go ahead and reapply earlier next year.

Hey bro,

listen, you should be fine...Most universities wait until Jan 15th to figure out how many deposits they got after sending their first round of admissions...it's only then that they do the selections for the second round.

So you're fine. You just have to wait a lil longer. Right now, you're my tough competition...HAHA...I also applied late and still waiting for interviews...but trust me, you have killer stats!

So G luck to you and keep us posted.
