1. When am I supposed to apply to Pharmacy school (summer of junior year?)
2. Do I Have to sign up with my school's health committee or can I get rec. letters directly from professors and a pharmacist (my school charges like $130 to join the student health professionals committee, that's why)

Thanks for your help, they will help me plan my next 4 years

You are supposed to apply the summer/fall of the year before the year you want to enter. It's better to join the professional health care. At my school, once you've joined the organization, the professors can come together and write a composite letter. It is a bit expensive but it also offers you more insights into the field and the volunteering opportunities you won't find anywhere else. Good luck!

Thanks so much! 🙂

Def re-think joining the health professions since its so expensive... you really don't need the composite letter since I don't think a lot of pharm schools require that - instead, they want usually 2 - 3 letters one from prof, pharmacist, work supervisors & etc. So you can just ask those people individually and they can send it to each pharm school directly or to pharmcas. The health professions office is really helpful with questions and such but if you're thinking of joining only due to the composite letter then its not necessary.
