Applying Texas OOS

I'm from Tennessee and I have a 3.9 GPA, 510 MCAT. Is it worth it to apply to some Texas schools? I know they really don't favor OOS.. I would love to live in Texas that's why I'm drawn to it but I don't want to waste money if I have no chance. I know my GPA is probably fine but I'm concerned about my MCAT score.
