Hey all!

So thank you in advance for any advice or input that you give me I really appreciate it! I'm a junior and will be applying to medical schools this summer. I'm an Illinois Resident with the following stats:

GPA: 3.48
MCAT: 31

I know....not the greatest stats in the world but I am completely deadset on becoming a doctor and will do whatever it takes.

**I am currently volunteering at University Hospitals nearby campus
**am working on a publication for the research lab I'm in [looking at around third or fourth author].
** I have and currently hold executive positions in two clubs
**my GPA has been on an upward trend since my second semester sophomore year.

Realistically at the end of this semester my GPA should be around 3.52-3.55. I just want to know what my chances are and I am prepared to hear the worst. I would also like some help picking schools. Rosalind Franklin Med School, Southern Illinois University, and UIC are my top choices and hopes as of now. Thank you very much again!

Rush and Loyola have a heavy in state preference, from what I hear. I'd consider adding those to the list.
