Here are my stats:

GPA: 3.31
sGPA: 3.500
bcpGPA: 3.497

DAT: AA 20 TS 20 PAT 18 👎

Great LORs from 3 professors that I know really well. I haven't asked for one from a dentist yet, but I'll make sure that I ask him to write a stellar one.

Over 1000 hours of volunteering hours, ranging from being a camp counselor, working at a food pantry, playing worship for my church (if that counts?), being the "camp nurse", nursing home volunteering, ect.

Was a combat medic in the National Guard for 6 years (no combat tours)

Shadowing right now is about 40 hours, but I plan on getting that up to around 100 by June.

What are some things I can do to better my application? My cumulative GPA isn't about to move very much, and I'm graduating in May.

nothing to improve upon... ur an ideal candidate.
Decent GPA, strong DAT, excellent life experiences, shadowing, volunteering.

If you struggle to get in, then I feel sorry for most other pre-dents

I was honestly debating on going to an SMP in my gap year, in case I don't get in this cycle. I take it you think it's not needed?

You scores are fine. My PAT was lower - check my breakdown. You should get a number of interviews.

Make sure your personal statement is perfect/interesting/not boring. They want to know why you want to be a dentist. Also, start asking for your recommendation letters in advance so you can apply the first thing in June.

I agree with dentalWorks reply to a Tee
