Applying to MD and DO schools

I am applying to MD schools for fall 2017. I am considering applying to a couple of DO schools. I live in NJ and Rowan has both an MD and a DO program. I have already applied to the MD program at Rowan. Can I apply to the DO program as well, or will that in some way jeopardize my MD application?

The app systems are completely independent. Hence, you're fine.

Only in TX do you apply to both the state DO and MD schools.
