Applying to medical school in September

I am wondering if I still have a chance for interview invites as I am submitting my primary applications at the beginning of September....

I recognize the importance of applying early, however I have a parent on hospice right now that I have been caring for so I haven't been able to submit sooner.

For reference, I am a reapplicant and am applying as disadvantaged. I was previously waitlisted two cycles ago.

Its starting to get a little late. What would be the benefit in applying right now vs in may of the next cycle? Especially with your family in hospice.

September is not late for DO schools so apply to all the school I suggested.
