I know medical schools need to be aware of what I am doing this fall, but is it risky to show them that I am in an Allopathic SMP?

I wasn't able to include the information in my primary because I decided where to go afterwards...I was going to send an update letter to all my schools, but am a little worried...Thoughts?

You don't need to be. There are relatively more allopathic SMPs then Osteopathic ones. I wouldn't even worry about it.

Thanks Jpc, that will most likely be my interview response if asked. The only Osteopathic ones I knew of were certificate programs..not a Masters..

Thanks again🙂

They're not blood enemies. Every school wants the same thing, to know that you're interested in their particular school. The fact that you did an SMP to improve your application shows commitment to medicine not DO or MD.
