Let's hypothetically say that a school requires a 3.0 GPA minimum, and your GPA is, oh, 2.87. But you have an excellent PCAT, LORs, and ECs. Do you think the school outright does not even look at your application? Or will they maybe give it a glance over? It seems obvious to me, but a lot of people ask me this question...what do you think?

If I were on an admissions committee, I would look past that. I don't think GPA is EVERYTHING. I don't think it represents your abilities as a student, or is an indication of what type of pharmacist you would be. I'd hope they look at more than GPA, but unfortunately I'm not on the admissions committee 🙁

school's have a cut off for a reason. sadly, in your case, you'd have to bump your gpa up even for them to "glance" at your app...

if you dont meet the cut off...they'll reject you...they'll even state it in the rejection letter too that you didn't meet the cut off...story of my life last year haha

There are also plenty of schools with 2.5 or 2.75 requirements..
