I mean ADEA AADSAS*******

Hi, 🙂

I know this has probably been answered.... I thought I understood but I came accross some contradictory information. Basically I just want to be clear about the application procedure. I just finished my third year of university and I want to have my application in as early as possible. Also, I am a Canadian applicant if that matters.

Is this the order of the things the I have to do...

1. Talk to my professors, dentists etc... ask them to write letters of recommendation and then I write down their emails, and other info?

2. write my personal statement

3. wait until June 4, then open the application

4. take some kind of form or something to the enrollement services or registrar of my university to have them send in my transcripts to the AADSAS (also, I have attended 3 different universities - one is too far to drive to do I just send them this thing?)

5. Contact the Canadian dental association with some kind of form from the AADSAS, so they can send my DAT scores to them

6. finish filling out my application, designate my writers and put in their emails (then the program emails them with uploading instructions??

7. make sure my writers uploaded their letter of recommendation

8. check off the schools that I want my application sent to?

9. pay?

10. finished??????😕

Thanks!

Pretty much.

1-2 you can do now.

3-4. After it opens and you fill your info out you will then have to enter the schools you attend first then you'll be able to print out a transcript matching form.

Whether you turn it in your the schools registar in person or mail it in the form should be included. The registars will know it is to be sent with your transcript. As for your situation where 1 is far you have to find out how they go about it. They should have some sort of option to request transcripts via mail/fax etc.

I can't answer #5 as well I'm a US student.

#6 (LOR part) you can do @ the same time as #3 and #4. It auto generates an email to people you enter. Once they upload the files you will get a confirmation too. How you go about getting them to do it is up to you.

#8 and 9 are pretty much spot on.

#10 not so much, its just the beginning.

Depending on schools you choose you'll have secondary application and fees. Some will be only when we contact you others will be do it at same time/after you submit AADSAS app. So keep your check book/credit card handy.

To me getting your transcript requests sent out should be priority. They will NOT process your application until they get your transcripts. You can be missing LORs, DAT scores but without transcripts your app it'll just sit there unprocessed.

Hey thanks a lot for your help! As an American student, what would you have to do to get your DAT score verified?

I'm guessing whether you're international student or not. If you take the American DAT then you would just enter your DENTPIN under one of the sections about you and they take care of the rest.

I can't imagine there being a different process for US students taking the American DAT and international students taking the American DAT.

I know that under scores you can enter the scores you got on the Canadian DAT but again no clue on how you submit info for them verify that it is true.
