Hey I have a question
I am a current applicant for this cycle.
I plan on visiting a few friends in Philadelphia next weekend.
SO I was thinking while I was up there I could check out Temple's School of Dentistry (since I applied there and whatnot).
Is it weird to set up an appt with the dean there while I'm up there?

Did anyone else meet with deans of other dental schools?
Am I even allowed to meet up with him since I am an applicant for this cycle?

Thanks for all your help. I know this sounds like a dumb question. :T

No no I don't think that's a bad idea at all! I mean it may depend on specific dental schools but in general I think the opinion is that it's great to put a face/name to the application because they will pay more attn to the application when they get to yours, esp since your'e showing extra interest in the school. Plus a dental applicant this yr that I spoke to has already met with one of the dental school's that he applied to dean and other adcoms several times and the dean was really nice & gave him more info on how to better his application.

If you can't make an appt. with the Dean then try the Assistant Dean, which may have a more flexible schedule to meet with you.

If you want to visit Temple, your best bet is to call or e-mail Brian Hahn to make an appointment. The Dean and/or Assistant Dean are probably almost impossible to get an appointment with. PM me if you want to ask anymore questions. I am also a current applicant.
