Hello,

I had a quick question regarding the procedure for whittling away acceptances by April 30th. I am currently holding on to two acceptances-- do I simply call one institution by April 30th and withdraw? Do I need to inform the other institution that I am "accepting" their offer, or do they just assume if I don't withdraw I intend to matriculate?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Call, email or withdraw via an online portal system -- whatever the particular school uses. You don't need to notify the other school that you confirm your acceptance, assuming you've already paid your deposit to that school.

Thank you! I am faced with a very difficult decision between both schools and don't anticipate on coming to a final decision until the very end. Is it my responsibility to ensure the school sees my withdrawal before April 30th? I ask because if I were to send a letter via email on the 29th they may not see it until a few days after.

Don't sweat it. Nobody is going to call you on May 1st! Just email the school you decline by then.

Thank you both so much for the replies and enjoy your week!
