APS and STP membership - good for school app or resume?

Is it helpful for my resume, scholarship applications, or later Psy.D school application, to be/have been a student member of organizations such as Association for Psychological Science (APS) or Society for the Teaching of Psychology (STP)?

I searched and checked a half dozen other threads, I didn't see an existing answer to this.

In general, professional affiliation and service are not going to make or break an application. There will be other more pertinent things to look at. More could be said for it if you were actively involved in committees, leadership positions, etc.

What JAG, said. Doesn't help all that much, doesn't hurt. Most applications we received had several professional student memberships on them, did not affect whether or not they got an interview or offer.
