Hello, I am a current second year student at temple dental, and I currently live with two other dental students Seniors). I really enjoy the apartment complex I am in. Its summit park, Im sure plenty of you have heard of it. Well anyways here is my "situation". Our lease does not currently end until July 15th, but it is the policy of the apt complex for us to let them know in writing 90 days before the lease date if we plan to vacate the premises, or, from what I gather, the lease will simply renew. Ive been so busy with exams, etc, that the date of april 15th ( which would be the 90 days notice that Id have to give if I vacate the premises) crept up on me rather quickly.
So, Id figure Id give sdn a shot. Id basically have to know if you would want the place by april 15th, but you wouldnt be moving in until the current lease is over (July 15th). I figured this would be perfect for dental students, as it would be a huge relief to have your living arrangements squared away, and you would have the option of coming in early before classes start to "settle in" and explore the area.
The rent is very cheap. Im currently in the larger bedroom, and I was hoping to stay in this one, but then I pay more in rent. The other two rooms come out to 540ish a month, and that includes everything. No utilities at all. It even includes cable with all sorts of premium pay channels.
This apt complex is unique, it basically consists of mostly grad students ( tons of dental students in particular), and man young professionals. The apt complex also has its own bar whcih is great, and even has free transportation every Fri and Sat into Manyayunk. There are tons of social things to do if one so chooses. For me to make this deal work, I am going to have to try and find two people by april 15th, so I may be pressing my luck, but truthfully, you will not find cheaper housing anywhere with all the other features summit park also ( bar-clubhouse, great swimming pool in the summer, the complex is surrounded by great biking trails, running trails, etc etc) If interested please email me and I will get right back to you.
