Don't know about other schools but UF is a great public school...but you need a really good gpa and pcat score to get in..

Well, Florida is less "southern" than VA is and I once thought that VA was very northern (when I was living in Georgia). UF is a good school and they seem to mostly look at stats (I'm guessing since most people interviewed get in). If you have good stats then try there. Beware though, there is a good chance that they will place you at a random satellite campus. It looks like they are okay though (I will let you know since I will be attending Orlando).
