Yeah! I went to Penn State and was involved with it all 4 years. It is HUGE at PSU (largest student run philanthropy in the world) so nearly everyone participates in some way.
In 2011 (my last year as a student), Penn State raised just over $9.56 million FTK. My fraternity was responsible for $158,000 of this. During THON, the entire campus is pretty consumed by it which is saying a lot since there are over 40,000 students.

Oh Thon! Haha. Thon, IUDM and FSUDM are my inspiration! I'm on the Overall/Executive Board for my school's DM. I think it's such an amazing organization overall and I love that it's something a lot of Universities share. Ours is on March 31st and I am so excited! FTK.

I got to go to Iowa's DM closing this year, and it was amazing to see so many people. I can't imagine Penn State. And even though Iowa has more dancers than we have students at our school, we were the number one per capita DM last year! Congrats on your total! Thats so awesome! trangalang, where do you DM and are you broadcasting live? my favorite thing to watch is DM live!!!

I attend the University of Central Florida. It's still an up and coming DM 😉 We will be broadcasting live I believe on the SGA website! If you want to watch one, FSU's is actually this weekend and they always broadcast live. There are two shifts, one starts Friday at 7pm and the other starts Saturday at 7pm. FSU's DM was actually the first one I ever went to, I had no idea what to expect and was literally crying from all of the Miracle stories.
Congratulations on that achievement, pinktheory! That shows your school has great PR and marketing strategies! I think that's the biggest challenge--we are the second largest University in the U.S. and still have not raised over 100k in one year. Our goal this year is 116k! Hopefully it will be our first year raising over 100k!

I forgot to update, but we had ours a few weeks ago and we raised $118,972.27, a 40% increase from last year! 🙂

We raised...$155,806.36 FOR THE KIDS! While that is not a 40% increase (which is super awesome by the way!), it is a 20% increase (which makes us never have not had a 20% increase or greater).

I'm not at my current school, but was all 4 years I was at UF. I loved it. I don't even think my current university has one.
