Are AP credits supposed to appear on the official transcript?

Hi all!

So over a week ago, my school sent out my official transcript with the matching form, with one being sent to the adea and the other to me.

While waiting for the one to reach my house, I decide to request an online one today to start filling out official info. But I checked, and it shows "6 credits" as "Transfer credits", which are my AP credits, AP Psych/ Italian.

Isnt it supposd to have the name of the classes I am receiving credit for? This means i cant finish the app yet 🙁
Or is there something else to fill out?

Could someone give me some feedback please?

Thank you so much!!

Unless it actually transferred as an italian class at your uni, then just put what it says on your transcript.

Hmm I see. Is there a way to just put "6 credits"? When I called the ADEA, they said to put AP classes under first semester, but since the actual class names dont appear, how should I properly go about this?

I had a similar thing, I just put it how my school had it listed with the credits given. Just try your best and if it's a little off ADDSAS will fix it.

I had the same issue- I just listed all the individual classes (and credits) and made sure they added up to the total credits on my transcript. I had no issues with transcript verification doing it that way, but make sure to list those credits under your first quarter/semester of college. For the course titles I did my best to match with what the school said it counted as credit...

Ohhh ok so just list the class how it's found on the website?

Yes! For example, in my school AP Psychology gives credit for "INTRODUCTORY PSYCH - PSYCH 10" so that's how I put in the information. Also for grade I labeled as CR and classified as AP Credit. Hope that helps!

Each college reports AP credits differently. My school lists the AP class on the transcript and the courses it replaced and then how many credits they were worth. Some schools don't give credit for AP classes at all but they allow you to skip a lower level class, etc. The ADEA knows this so just list as they show up on your transcript the best you can.
