Are B-'s worth retaking?

I don't have any C's, but I have several B-'s and I was wondering if having a B- is worth retaking. I feel this is the in-between grade of being not good enough but not the worst thing ever. I've talked to admissions people from various DO schools and they have said it's not worth retaking a B- but I just wanted to be sure, especially if I end up with a B, which is better obviously, but for the time and effort, maybe not. Thanks!

I think the usual classes you want to retake are ones you get C's or lower in. B- is still a B, which is good especially for something like Organic Chem.

I would say that if you're out of C's, D's, and F's to retake, you could retake a B- if it would substantially help your GPA assuming you get an A- or higher. If we're talking about a push from 3.34 to 3.37, it's just not worth it.

Let me get this straight, you talked to admissions at various schools and they all agree no.
Yet, you want the opinion of a bunch of strangers off the Internet that haven't even gotten into medical school.

You REALLY need to judge where you get information from kid.

I would say that if you're out of C's, D's, and F's to retake, you could retake a B- if it would substantially help your GPA assuming you get an A- or higher. If we're talking about a push from 3.34 to 3.37, it's just not worth it.

Usually you won't see a huge increase if you got a B- the first time. It's most dramatic when you replace a C, D or F. Find something else to do. Life is too short to retake B- classes!
