Are certifications considered an accomplishment/award?

I have to list my accomplishments/awards among other things.

Would a certifications such as personal trainer or RedCross Swim Instructor be worthy to put on such a list?

That option doesn't really exist in my case. I was actually leaning more towards accomplishment than "award". I had to put some hours into the personal trainer cert and do two practical tests to specialize and be able to act as a strength coach for some teams. To me it feels like an accomplishment because it was definitely a time commitment and work was involved ... even though I did enjoy it a lot, since strength training/fitness is a personal hobby of mine.

Just be careful about sounding like you put something down just to put something down. I think all EC's require time commitment and work so if you ever had to explain why you consider it an accomplishment, i'd suggest a different spin. It is unique though, and if you geninuinely feel that you accomplished something then it will come across that way.
