I'm really interested in refugee and immigrant health, and this area has kind of shaped my interest in medicine. I was curious to know if these groups are considered underserved populations in healthcare?

The immigrant experience is still valued, though.

Refugees and, I would add, migrants are underserved.

Folks here on student and worker visas or who have won the green card lottery, may not be underserved.
