There are some classic textbooks but my experience over the past few years is that students depend less on textbooks and more on "up-to-date" (an electronic resource available through by subscription through the school library) and lecture notes.
Some of the classic textbooks are:
Goodman and Gilman (pharmacology)
Cecil (internal medicine)
Harrison's (internal medicine)
These books have been up-dated regularly over the years and are known by the names of the original author(s).
There are a number of resources for learning anatomy and I'm not sure that even within a given school there is a clear favorite
