Ok so I applied in late Sept and haven't heard a single thing from any school. I know people say keep the faith but I'm hearing most classes are already full. Do I have any chance or should I prepare to do something about next year? Here are my admissions stats:

DAT: 22 AA/19 PAT
GPA: 2.9 (but did two degrees: BSc in Management Science, BA in Biological Anthropology, its a very long story)

Have spent the past two years working as a financial analyst, running my own business, and travelling the world. I recently made the career change so for me to lose out this year could be devastating.

I have definitely given up on my first choices such as UOP and UCSF but was still hoping for maybe USC or NYU. I heard these classes fill up late, someone told me about a month ago that they had only filled less than 50 seats each.

But now they must be starting to fill and I haven't even been called for an interview. I know this may seem like the result of months of stress and anxiety but I'm almost at the point of giving up hope.

Can anyone give me anything to be positive about? Like has anyone at USC or NYU not even been contacted till Feb for interview and still got in?

Looks like they passed on you dude. Sorry to see that.

Prob because of the low GPA in management classes. No reason to not ace those.

You should look into a masters degree to make you not so average.

DAT was nice, but not enough apparently.

Sorry! 😕

WHAT WAS YOUR SCIENCE GPA???

How did you study for the DAT? (That looks really good to not even get an interview.)

When did you apply?

You may have applied late. This spring apply early, but also keep working on your application by taking additional science courses, shadowing a dentist,.etc.

did you get any secondaries or anything, yea your gpa is low but your dat's are good is there any reason why they wouldnt send you anything at all, did you do shadowing hours, maybe check on the schools see if they have all your application materials and stuff? thats really weird...

hey raj, did you call nyu to make sure they've got all your stuff? they are notorious for losing transcripts, dat scores, lors, etc. my friend who applied in a previous year had to send her dat scores, like, 3 times or something. maybe they are still waiting on your transcripts or something. did you give them a call yet to check that you file is complete? or have you called and asked about your status? anyway, your gpa isn't that bad considering your dat is so good. good luck.
