Hey guys,

Sorry to post another annoying "what are my chances" thread even though we all know that the admissions game is really just a crap shoot. Basically, I just want to get some feedback on where I stand on paper to see where I can improve if I need to reapply. Thanks for the comments! I'm applying to funded PhD programs in clinical psychology.

GRE:
V-660
Q-710
Analytical-4.5
Psychology Subject-720

Undergrad GPA:
3.94

Relevant course work:
1 year of undergraduate statistics and research methods
1 year of graduate statistics
Studied abroad for 6 months

Research experience (10 hrs/week):
1 year undergrad
2 years post-undergrad
*No publication, abstract, senior thesis, but I am currently authoring part of a manuscript.

Work experience:
Academic counselor for undergraduates since early 2008

you never said what you were applying for.

I'm applying to:
University of Nevada, Reno
UCLA
USC
UC Berkeley
SDSU/UCSD JDP
UT Austin
University of Oregon
University of Washington
Arizona State University

Long term goals at this point aren't really well defined. I may be interested in pursuing academic research at the university level, or perhaps researching in a corporate environment, or maybe even doing part-time research and part-time teaching at a college or university. I'm not too interested in practicing psychotherapy myself at this point, but then again I have no experience yet.

You have great stats, but you are also applying to a lot of great programs. I would have to look it up, but most (if not all) of those look like top 25. Therefore, it is really hard to say given that you are applying to extremely competitive programs.
