I want to work on my testing abilities as I have less than a month left until my MCAT. I will be taking the AAMC tests but should I take them in conjunction with Princeton Review Full lengths? I will like to know if you think that they are good for preparation. I have already taken the Kaplan and Gold Standard Full Lengths.

Most practice tests from major test prep companies are excellent for preparation. Your gains will actually come from the post-test analysis so the more time and effort you spend there, the more you internalize the critical thinking required for the MCAT. On the other hand, if you are looking to accurately gauge your actual MCAT score, most would agree that the official AAMC tests are the most accurate; typically, people will score their average on the AAMCs minus 1-2 points to account for the realities of the test day.

I took the TPR full lengths as well as the AAMC tests. If you have to pick one because of limited time, I would go with the AAMC, since they are the most representative of the actual test. I found the TPR tests to be a lot more difficult than the AAMC and more nitpicky on small details than the AAMC/my actual MCAT. The TPR tests are really good for figuring out specific topics that you need to improve on, if you have time to do them. They will definitely challenge you.

My instructor for the TPR classroom course told me that the TPR Full Lengths are made to be harder than the AAMC ones, and to expect higher scores on the AAMC.
