First off, I know this question should go in the app questions forum but I feel like at this time in the cycle it's all but abandoned:dead:

So are they accomplishments? Is being invited to speak at a research conference an accomplishment? and for extracurricular clubs do you need to put down how many hours were put into it or just that you were were a member?

THANK YOU

Yes, not sure, the amount of hours need to be put (kind of different now that you have to put hours per week).

Yes, very much so.

Yes they certainly are. I know some people who have stumbled into quick/low effort publications, but in general it takes a long time and a lot of work to get one. I have been at it a while and still only just about to maybe get one for a clinical trial.

Thanks for the replies everyone.

Also now that I'm thinking about it, would patents that were taken out on said research also be an accomplishment? I don't have many earned scholarships or awards so I'm just trying to find things I can put in the achievement section when I apply next cycle 😉

Publishing is absolutely an accomplishment. If you've published then you've made a contribution to science and the pursuit of knowledge (I know I sound campy).
