I used my AP bio credit to skip general biology II at my university, but I took several upper level bio courses such as microbiology.

Are admissions officers flexible with missing pre-reqs (even at the schools that explicitly state they don't accept AP credits?)

Should I contact each school and tell them that if needed, I will take the pre-reqs at a state college before matriculation? Or should I stop worrying?

I would call each school and ask, and explain that you have taken upper bio classes and done well in them

Generally no, pre-reqs are one of the things that admissions is not flexible about at all - they expect you to complete every course they require by matriculation. But you should speak to admissions and explain your situation to see if they are willing to accept your other biology courses in lieu of having to take bio 2.

I would not expect schools that don't accept AP credits to be very accommodating in this situation, but it's always worth checking.

I spoke with Michigan yesterday regarding their Sociology Pre-Req and a past class that I thought satisfied it... They are definitely pretty firm on their requirements, and I will be taking a Sociology class they approved this fall lol

Each school is different. Some say that as long as they count for college credit, you'll be fine. However, others only accept AP credits for English prereqs, not science. So call each program in question

They're very strict in most cases.

It's best to call the admissions office of every school you're applying to. I had issues with my English prerequisite--I took a fair share of writing courses, but not any in the English department. But all of them were very understanding, and one or two had me e-mail them back the course descriptions of those writing courses. My friend also got AP credit for Bio 1 & 2, but given that she was a Biology major, she took a lot of upper level Biology courses. They said it was fine. Good luck!
