Are science and verbals scores inversely related.

So I recently took two full lengths. On one, I did very well on the sciences but poorly on the verbal. On the other, i did great on the verbal but not as great on the sciences.

I think that when I took the tests, I had a different mindset that preconditioned me to do better on one section than the other. Does anyone feel this way?

I don't really think they are. Each section is independent, and while some people may be more comfortable with the sciences, it doesn't mean that they aren't capable of doing well on the verbal. Remember that medical school applicants from the sciences are often self-selecting against verbal type studies.
