Are there any dental schools that won't accept my online Biochem course?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I think you'll have to email or call the schools you're applying to. Some might take it, while others may not because you didn't have a physical lab component. The best people to tell you whether it'll be accepted or not are those at the schools themselves.

I thought most schools do not require a lab for biochem

Well based on the units, I think lab sometimes required unless you take two courses. Just depends on how many units your lecture was, and if it is 3S or 4Q, you're good.

Also I just noticed that UCLA doesn't accept online classes, so OP there's one school at least that wouldn't accept your course.

I know the University of Pitt doesn't take online courses. Generally, transcripts don't say whether or not an online class. It's up to your discretion if you feel like it needs to be disclosed or not.

That makes sense! Thanks for clarifying!! I think most BioChem courses are 3 credits using a semester system! I was terrified for a minute

Some schools are extremely stubborn and say no online courses for prereqs, period. Others may accept them with preapproval from the admissions office.

Hmm, okay I will likely call up schools and just retake if necessary- thanks guys 🙂!

Don't just call. Email and get the response in writing. If a dispute occurs when they are verifying your completion of the prereqs, the burden of proof is on you.
