Are there any med schools that won’t allow you to use “higher level” science courses (with labs) to meet the premed prereqs?

For example, if someone has CLEP or AP credits that cover Bio 1 and Bio, so the student takes higher level bio courses (Cell bio, Genetics, BioChem, or whatever), are there any med schools that would not accept that?

After reviewing a number of med schools requirements, I’m not seeing any that won’t let you use a year of higher level courses to fulfill the prereqs. Does anyone know of any?

I think it’s always best to reach out to the schools directly with questions such as this one. Shouldn’t take very long till you get a response from the Admissions people.

Ive already done that with a number of schools and no one has had an issue. I’m not going to reach out to all 140+ MD med schools, hence this question.

I assumed you’d only want to know about the schools you’re applying to. But I guess you’d like to know about all of them for some reason....

Actually, a freshman premed may not know where he/she will eventually be applying. Therefore, it could be helpful to see what schools have what policies in order to better prepare.

Anyway, I found that university of Maryland provides a list detailing each med schools’ rules about AP, etc.

Sure!

Would you mind posting that link here in case someone who needs this information stumbles upon this thread?
