My class has a reputation for being the whiniest class out of the 4. And on SDN it seems like a lot of us like to b*tch and moan about histology/anatomy/biochem. It would be interesting to go back to previous years' posts and see if they complained as much as we did. 🙂

i would if i had more time

What I really don't understand is what is there to bitch about (as some people do, excessively)? It's not like someone dragged you to medical school by the ear. You also aren't learning more material than the classes before you

I'm plenty fine bitching about having six exams in eight days, I'll tell you what.😉

But does bitching make then go away? No😉

I have the same thing - all the finals/last tests fall on the upcoming week. What really ticks me off, however, is how some of my classmates spend more time complaining about professors and tests than they spend studying

you guys go to the same school... that's why you have exams at the same time 🙂

I think I have the bitchiest class in history. My class complained so much about one of our first year classes, that there was an investigation, if you want to call it that. They compared our classes grades to previous years in the first semester's worth of classes and mcat and previous gpa's etc. The end result was our class earned a 4% curve in that class and it was completely revamped for the new class. It had never been done in the school's history. I'll admit that this class was not organized at all and we were right to complain about it, which is why they added the 4 points--there was in fact a skew--like 25% of the class was failing it and there was a definite flaw in them, not us.

But it doesn't stop there. In one of my 2nd year classes, people complained about it nonstop. Someone went so far as to send an email out to our LISTSERV, which goes to all COURSE DIRECTORS and DEANS, etc. The student said stuff like, this class is horrible and we have been treated unprofessionally, i'm compiling a list of suggestions to change the class, etc. No one could believe what he'd done. Now my class is notorious for its self righteousness.

The class above mine complains the most from what I heard. but I feel sorry for them. It was the first year of a new curric, and instead of fixing the problem for their class, the admin always said, oh well, well fix it for next year, which they did. That class is so pissed at us because of that.

hahahahha someone did that in our class too! it was so ridiculous yet so funny. our class got a really bad rep cuz of that 😛

I'm sorry but SP, your class IS the whiniest class in the whole school. 🙂 And your post just proved it, whiney.

Wow... I'm starting to understand the value of block scheduling. Biochem/genetics/cell bio for 9 weeks... then it's over. Only one thing to worry about at a time.

My class is the slacker class. We just don't give a flying fudgesicle. Oddly enough, we were also told we have the highest mean undergrad GPA and MCAT of any entering class in the history of the institution. Hmmm.

Sad thing is, we have a block schedule too. It's six exams for two classes. Histo and Anatomy.
