This may be a dumb question but are you allowed to take undergraduate classes to Complete your bachelors degree in spring/summer before medical school?

I have to complete my foriegn language requirement and I want to focus on my MCAT studying this summer. So I can take French 1 in the Fall, French 2 in the Winter, and French 3, in the spring/summer. But until I take french 3 i cannot graduate. If my acceptance into a medical school is contingent on me recieving my bachelors, am I allowed to take degree requirements like 1 week before I start medical school?

Technically this should be fine. Your matriculation is dependent upon your successful graduation (for most schools), but you can be accepted long before graduation. However, if I were you I'd be careful. Some medical schools start as early as July (I start class on July 7th) which could cut in to your summer class.

Oh wow. That could be a problem, I believe the class ends on june 30th, but I technically wouldn't walk in my graduation until much later. Wow I'm not sure who to ask to verify this information? ANY IDEAS =(?

I mentioned in a previous post about a former student of mine (I was a teaching intern for biology lab and he was taking the class in the summer). He was accepted into the medical school and had to complete the intro bio lab to matriculate into medical school. He completed the course in the summer and was able to matriculate with no problems. I think the main reason he was able to do this was because his medical school and his undergrad were under the same university. Another reason was that summer class ended in june and his medical school classes started in mid july.

I hope this helps.
