I am wondering if many of you are calling schools to learn the status of your applications. I have received several letters/e-mails letting me know that my file is complete at many schools, but haven't heard from many of them for a good month and a half. Has anyone been calling and asking the status of your application? If so, are schools happy to tell you something helpful, other than that your file is under review? Do schools typically come across as being annoyed with your calls? I have called a few, but have learned little about my status (deferred, wait list pile, potential interview, etc.) I would appreciate some thoughts about your communication with schools. Thanks for your replies!!

I call the schools often, however, my app has only been complete at most schools for about 2 weeks now. Most schools will dismiss me with a "its under review" statement. Some schools do grow annoyed, such as UOP, UMNDJ in my case. other schools simply tell me to wait without disclosing any information whatsoever. sorry i cant help much. take care

I called in and found out that most schools don't accept world literature, writing-intensive humanities, or upper level writing classes if those classes aren't labeled "ENG ###" on your transcript. 😱

Sounds like you still have some pre-reqs to fulfill. Either that, or you can just work on your skills of persuasian. 🙂

I called UW today and found out that all my secondary information is in and that interview invites will be mailed out w/i the next two weeks.

I called IU because my AADSAS said I was received/under review, found out I am not rejected but they already handed out all their interviews.... Oh Well....
