Was anyone able to do boot camp (or officer basic training) before medschool? I called and they told me I would only be able to do it after I had pre-enrolled... which I can't do til 60 days before school starts. School starts in mid july.

It is possible to attend the Army Basic Officer Leadership Course prior to starting school. There are several milestones that have to be met. Most of which revolve around your recruiter.
1. Your packet has to be 100% complete
2. You must be scrolled
3. Your packet has to be forwarded from the recruiter to the HPSPS office

The things you must accomplish are:
1. You must log onto www.mods.army.mil/medicaleducation request a logon ID
2. Once you receive the logon ID you must create a password
3. After you have your ID and password, select "Pre-Enroll" from the top menu
4. After you have pre-enrolled you may request to go to BOLC under the Request menu tab

Since you start school in mid July, I'm not sure if your school will allow you to attend BOLC as an HPSP student. You may have to wait until the summer between 1st and 2nd year. My first year started the day of graduation for BOLC so I couldn't go. My 2nd year started a week later so I was able to attend. There were people who missed the first couple days of classes in their 2nd or 3rd year. My school had a bunch of mandatory orientation stuff that first week so I couldn't miss it. I'd contact your school to see what their policy on this is.

I'm going to second this. For some reason, orientation week was mandatory at my school. (Why, I don't know. It was completely useless.) So, I couldn't go beforehand. And first year ran long, so I couldn't go between 1 and 2, so I'm going this summer. If your classes start mid July, they probably won't let you go, because OBLC ends July 26th. The OBLC dates usually run from mid June to the end of July.
