I am about to sign with the Army for the medical school military scholarship...though I probably should have posted this some time ago - any thoughts/opinions/advice/experiences to share?

Definitely check out military medicine forum. Although in my opinion you will find a large bias towards negative posts there, I do think it's good to hear all sides of the story, and I would encourage anyone considering HPSP to read what the others who have been through the military have to say. I'm a first year Army HPSP student so I can only answer questions from my limited perspective. I do have prior military experience, however, so I am familiar with the military culture.
