Army OBLC 2010 dates

The dates for the HPSP OBLC (not for those graduating) will be 13 June - 26 July. Information can be found here.

If those dates work for you, go through your recruiter or follow the directions given in the HPSP manual to get into that class.

When I was in school the dates didn't match up exactly, so we worked with our professors to finish assignments and tests early so we could attend (some even had tests sent to Ft. Sam and proctored down there).

Do these dates apply to Army national guard as well? My recruiter told me all the slots for OBLC were filled but I'm not sure if she was just trying to get me to hustle on filling out my paper work.

I'm not sure if that information is correct. All correspondence we have received from CPT Junio so far indicates that we will be attending the June 13 OBLC and reporting to our first assignments by August 2.

Correction. I know its wrong. I forgot that I already received my "course reservation verification" and I have a spot reserved for the 13 June course (and I'll be graduating this year)

You are correct - I just confirmed. It looks like last summer they began putting graduating HPSP seniors into the HPSP OBLC (differenct than how it had been done). If people don't graduate on time (fail boards, have dental school graduating requiremts to complete, etc...) and miss the 13 June date, the July date will be the next class available.

I really can't wait for OBLC. It should be a great time!

I hope it's not too hot this year. Last year was the hottest in 100 years (so people said) and a couple of trainees died from heat stroke in the base (not our group). Make sure you bring lots of RAIDS (ant killers) and sun block! And renting a small vehicle (for the entire duration, no kidding) would also be a good idea, because one building to another is really far.

No. However you may be able to let them know you want to go in case anything opens up last minute - but it is doubtful.
