I was wondering if anyone would be able to comment on the competitiveness on the perio residency at fort Gordon, GA. I know 4 residents are accepted yearly, but was curious if anyone has information about how many actually apply. And what goes into the application process.

If you search the threads you will see several threads on accepted vs alternates running several years back. This does not include those who applied but were not considered (that info is not released).

Most of the specialties this year went to a phone interview, so you can expect that. Also will require letters of recommendation, statement of why you want to apply, board results, school transcript, etc... all the normal stuff. It will be due November of your senior year.
