I am looking to join the reserves, and was wondering what a typical 'drill weekend' would be like, and if they always have to be in person (i have heard different things about this).

No, I am about to be in the guard so my knowledge about Reserves is limited. But from my understanding your mileage will vary based on the commander. No idea about the APMC.
