Arrest in p3 year

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Let's not read limited stories on it and start labeling everybody that steals mentally ill. More often than not, it's just a dumb decision. And in the OP's case, it seems to be an isolated case. Some people just seem to be assuming he does it on a frequent basis with no evidence to support it.
Kleptomania was removed from the DSM-5, as there is insufficient evidence to retain it as a distinct disorder. The behavior is better accounted for by other disorders, such as compulsive stealing as a symptom of a depressive disorder or impulse control disorder. The OP admitted to depression, so I think the mental illness claim is not entirely unfounded.

Pharmacy doesn't exactly attract the cream of the crop. Can you imagine a medical student or dental student risking his career prospects and possibly throwing away 8 years of education over obviously stupid ****? And what's up with all this white knighting? Internet forums are powered by aggressive posturing, sanctimony and tut-tutting.

The fact is that OP will probably pay the price for his actions, as it should be. Good luck...

There was a post similiar to this one in the medical student forums a few weeks ago. Student accepted to medical school steals something from a store, gets caught, and will go (or gone?) to court. He will likely have his acceptance revoked by the medical school.

And what is your reaction? If this school were a highly selective U.S. allopathic (like UCLA), mine would be surprise because the person threw it all away despite clearing various barriers to entry that are higher than those for any pharmacy school.

Did you inform your school yet? I'm sure there's something in the student conduct section where you must report all arrests. Right now I'd be worried about being kicked out of school. At my school you are kicked out for a DUI

well, if he is going to get kicked out, better he finds up front instead of 4 years/thousands of dollars later when the school decides to not issue him his degree because of the arrest and cover-up.

lol arrest and cover up. cmon you watch too much tv.

there was a medical student that was kicked out because he did not disclose a DUI arrest because he was trying to get it expunged

When applying for any kind of license I've always been told to disclose everything. One state even asked for minor traffic violations and wanted an explanation as to how you learned from them. Better you mention it ahead of time and own up to it than it is to have them find something you didn't disclose. Stupid mistakes happen but you shouldn't try to hide it even if they tell you it's going to "drop off".
