Articles regarding surgery

Can anybody let me know of any published articles in any journal that discusses the decreased interest in general surgery or anything regarding the recent trends in surgery, thanks.

There was a whole issue of Archives of Surgery devoted to this topic. (OK not the whole issue but a lot of it!)
