Hi all, i am a current pre-medder considering dentistry instead of medicine. I was wondering how important are a persons drawing or artistic skills in dental school? I pretty much have zero artsy skills and i dont know if I will ever be good at that. I have decent visual perception, but I cant draw at all. How important is that?

Thanks

You don't have to be artistic to be a dentist, you just have to have steady hands that can manipulate objects in small spaces.

hey,
I hope its not that important. Im going to dental school this yr and i will let you know. (Im not good at drawing and that stuff either).

i think the best dentists are those that have an artistic eye. you definitely have an advantage being artistic when entering dental school, but i have been surprised as to how well school improves your dexterity. my advice, start drawing now and get your hands working because if you think that dent school does not require it, then reconsider your future.

In the futrue there wil be robots to be artistic. All you need is to sit back, relax, and give the injections.
