Hey folks, I'm a DO and my COMLEX scores are much better than USMLE scores. I obviously passed both, but I am happier with my COMLEX scores and am worried that USMLE scores can hurt me. Am i obligated to report my USMLE scores since I took them? Or is it up to my discretion?

Yes, you have to report it. Before, DOs used to be able to get away with not reporting it, but it's now a requirement. And if you still choose not to and the PDs find out that you took it, you're gonna be in a hella lot more trouble than if you just told them.

If you apply for ACGME residency, you have to report them. If you apply for AOA residency only, then I don't think you have to report them. Double check me on that last part, but I'm pretty sure that's true.

...I don't think there's an official way to report USMLE scores to AOA residencies.

What if we took usmle after submitting eras to a game programs with just comlex scores?

Have not taken steps but thinking about step 2ck and giving it after submitting my app

I know someone who failed the USMLE, only submitted his COMLEX score, and is currently in a pretty respectable MD residency program. I wonder what the program would do if they found out. Seems risky to me.

It's risky sure, but if he performs well in residency, it will likely be a moot point.

If he f***s up ant any point though, the program could very easily use this to terminate him and have him banned from the Match (for an unknown period of time).

what if a DO registered for the usmle but decided not to take the exam.....do they have to report that they registered for the USMLE?
