I tend to think these threads are quite biased... Those with a lot of interviews are more likely to respond than those with none/few interviews... Seems like a response bias to me lol

Lol, wow! You are right, they have changed a lot since I checked them. That surprises me 🙂 👍

I'm surprised as well.

I don't expect this thing to be accurate or precise (thank you DAT chemistry) but I just wanted to see where ppl on SDN were at. I also made it a public poll so that it may deter some ppl from lying and if people wanted, they could check the stats of other people with X number of interviews.

Why do people apply to so many schools? I don't get it. Why not just apply to a couple of schools that you know you can get in, a couple of schools that are stretches, and one or two in between? What's up with people applying to 10+ schools? What is the point, besides wasting thousands of dollars an hundreds of hours for interview prep and interviews?

Therein lies the fallacy to your argument; there aren't many sure things in dental school admissions.

No one can ever be too sure they can get in 🙂 I don't think it's a waste of money at all. It's for your future.

I applied to 12 schools; 4 dream schools, 4 schools that I have a decent shot at, and 4 schools I think I can easily get into. Funny thing is, its not the "easy" schools that have me an interview invite. Shows me that its really not a sure thing 😎
