Any new developments any this area? has anyone been accepted recently?
I spoke with Vikki Driving Hawk today and she was very helpful. She said their class is currently only 1/3 to 1/2 full (good news for us, right?). The committee met earlier this month and sent out 10 acceptances. They will be meeting again mid-February to extend more acceptances. She didn't say how many acceptances would be going out nor did she say they had a date that the committee would be meeting.
Also, (more good news) they won't be interviewing any more applicants during the next 2 weeks due to the Superbowl. They do look at the "Top group" applicants before they look at the waitlist. So, hang in there...it's still a possibility.

funny how there is so much contradictory information on SDN. some people have said that there was close to a 100% "put down deposit" rate at ASDOH....and now you are saying that only 1/3 to 1/2 of the the class is full. i guess the only way to really figure out the truth is just call yourself. i hope your news is true though. thanks for the phone call update though.
Just called down there yesterday and they have already sent out their third acceptances. When I called down there Nan was able to tell me where I stand in the top group. I dont really know how much I believe her because it seems as I read on here she has a lot of conflicting stories.
who is nan? i usually contact ms. vikki driving hawk. so if you call they will tell you your position on the top group list?
Ya you guys should call and see what they say. Iam interested to see if they give you the same information or they are saying just whatever to have people quit calling!!!I sen1 Vicky an email 3 weeks ago, andI haven't gotten any respond from her. If I call the school, will they give me the number on the top group?????😕😕😕😕
Just got in as of Feb. 20....This is crazy I have been waiting four years for this..........
From what i hear from very reliable sources , the admissions committee meets today, they have 11 spots open....there is two "top" groups. The Top of Top has only 30 people in it. They will fill the class in their meeting today.
Has anyone in the top group heard anything from the school yet? Vicky told me that the class is full, and only 5 people in the top group will get a call in case someone with draw their acceptances. I haven't gotten anything from school since getting my top group letter. I think this is it for me..no more hope for ASDOH.
I recieved a "top group" letter after my interview and I just recieved a rejection letter in the mail. So much for the whole "top group" thing. It really gave me false hope.
So i talked to ASDOH last week, and they do have an active wait list. There were 20 people on it, they already took 3 from the wait list, but class is 100% full. the active wait list was taken from the top group.
My application status changed to " application denied"...well...that's it for me.
bye! ADSOH

me too! So much for this top group thing. Does anybody else feel that being in the top group thing was totally deceptive and gave you false hope?

agreed. the 4-tier system was a mess.
Why did it give you a false hope? Were you ever accepted? Would you rather know that you are on the waitlist, or high on the waitlist?
From what I understood at the interview, the tier system was intended to let us know where we stand soon after the interview. We were told at the interview that there would be 4 tiers. The first tier would probably be accepted Dec. 1, the second tier would most likely be accepted by the end of the cycle, the third tier would be "alternates" and the fourth tier are rejected. The top two tiers were the "top-group" and it seemed that anyone in the top group had a very good chance at acceptance, but as you can see there are many "top-group" applicants who were not accepted, or waitlisted.
