Hey everyone.

I will be asking for LORs next week, and I was thinking about including a cover letter along with my resume of all of my activities.

I was just wondering if you know what should be included in the cover letter. Do you include things like why I want to become a doctor, which activities you've done, etc.? or perhaps tell them what I want them to write about i.e. personality and let them know how important LoRs are?

Is there a general formula for writing a cover letter?

Instead of a cover letter, it's pretty common to include your personal statement, or at least a rough draft.

My personal statement is in progress right now, but I do have a rough draft that is not very well written. Do you still suggest handing out the PS and not a cover letter?
