Does anyone ask for an "interview while I'll be there" for Radiology when scheduled for a program's PGY-1 position? There are actually 2-3 programs for which I have been extended a prelim medicine interview but not a Rads interview at this point (but have applied Rads there).

Usually works better the other way around.

Yeah, that's the only way I've ever heard it go. Anyone ever have any luck going this way?

I didn't tell the program that I have a prelim interview, but I did tell them that I had other interviews in the area. They offered me an interview after I sent the email...I think it's worth the try.

Awesome. Thanks man.

Who do you guys email when you attempt to do this? I tried to email the coordinator at a TY program that I'm interview radiology for. I haven't heard back yet. I'm wondering if I should email the program director instead...

I've been emailing program coordinators and administrators. They just tell me they're forwarding my message to the PD anyway, so I bet it would be fine to email the PD directly. That being said, I think you did the right thing to email the coordinator first.
