Asking for too many letters of reccomendation?

Hi guys, I'm a sophomore student and I'm pretty close to two professors that I know, but not many more.

Therefore, in early fall, I asked both of them to complete 3 reference forms that included letters of recommendations for 3 various programs/scholarships I was applying too.

Now however, I have found out about 5 more opportunities for internships/scholarships that I would love to apply for, but all have their own recommendation system/forms that would need to be completed. I'm hesitant to ask the two professors I already asked, because they just finished completing my last recs, and I don't want to overload them again!

I don't have many other people to go to. Is there a way to ask them for a letter of reccomendation a second time in a semester without sounding too pushy?

Most of the time prof's have templates that they use to write letters, and almost everyone saves what they wrote in case this happens. I don't think it's too much to ask for another, but you will need to apologize and ask humbly.

Past that, I would think ahead a bit and have them write generic letters that could be used for anything (including med school). Have them submit those letters to Interfolio so you never have to ask again. Now, you're going to want new letters by the time you actually apply to med school as old letters are frowned upon a bit, but I think it's good to have them as a fallback in case something happens and you can't secure another letter.

That's why I always ask my professors to save their letters in a safe place, and I tell them that I might ask them for their letter again in the future.
